I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to serve as a judge for the 2024–2025 Efficiency for Access Design Challenge, hosted by Energy Saving Trust and Engineers Without Borders UK. Having mentored the Gold-winning team from Obafemi Awolowo University in last year’s edition, I’m excited to now support this year’s competition from the judging panel, evaluating innovative, student-led solutions to improve energy access in underserved communities.

Breaking Barriers: How the Pad A Girl Initiative is Transforming Lives
At the Damilare Aluko Foundation, we’re proud to continue our Pad A Girl Initiative in partnership with Mimi’s Charity Home, providing menstrual hygiene products and education to girls aged 11–16. At our third 2025 event, we reached even more girls, helping them stay in school, build confidence, and break the stigma around menstruation. This movement is changing lives, and we’re committed to expanding its impact until no girl is left behind because of period poverty.
2050 Climate Group Trustee Appointment — Empowering Young Leaders for a Sustainable Future

Two weeks ago, I had the incredible honour of receiving the 2025 Future Leaders in Sustainability Award at the Doing Good, Doing Well (DGDW) conference in Barcelona. Under the urgent theme “The Last Sprint: Roadmap to 2030,” the event brought together changemakers from around the world to explore real, actionable solutions for a sustainable future. This recognition is both a milestone and a call to deepen my commitment to driving inclusive, impact-led change in business and beyond.

Mentorship has always been close to my heart, and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined the 2024 cohort of the Energize Mentorship Club, an initiative by Energyz Black supporting early-career Black professionals in the UK’s renewable energy sector. Over the next nine months, I’ll be mentoring a recent graduate passionate about clean energy, and I look forward to walking this impactful journey together.
